Last friday after listening to every single project that Drake had released that day I went to bed as it was getting late. I wondered if there could also be a music video to go with them. I was going to check whenever I would wake up that same day.
Seems like releasing three albums wasn’t enough. He also released 17 music videos from these albums (mostly from IceMan) and you can watch them here !
Technically it’s 19 if we count What did I miss which was released at the very beginning of the album rollout during IceMan episode 1 and which One with Central Cee from IceMan episode 2. It reminds me of when 50 Cent dropped a video for each song from his double album The Massacre.
I will divide them in six parts, six posts with three in each in the order that they appear on the album.
I will focus on what we see, not on the songs.
Dust
It starts with views of downtown Toronto followed with women lining up to go see Drake i’m assuming… He does talk about them at the beginning of the song. Then the beat switches so does the video, we now see a cop (actor Shane Gillis) sleeping at the back of a police car. He wakes up and there are two kids sitting at the front, Adonis (Drake’s kid) is driving the car. They go on a joy ride with the cop stuck in the back of the car. Drake’s kid grew up a lot and is quite good at acting, he released a song a few years ago. It was cute but not very good !
Whisper my name
We see a television where cartoons are being played. The camera moves back from the screen, there is people watching it but we can’t see their faces as the camera is behind them. Then a shot of one of the guys shows he is wearing a mask with a long nose, they are all wearing one besides one guy at a computer desk and one that has it on his head. They all leave in a car looking like they are going to go rob a bank or something… We see Drake at a cemetery, then he’s showing off his muscle power with a huge crew. We see some bodies laying in the snow which i assume are the masked individuals and there is a car upside down with Drake walking between them. He gets into a pick-up truck and leave. It ends with birds flying that we can also see earlier in the video.
Janice STFU
There are many items of all kind on a floor and the camera moves forward until we see Drake sitting by a wall with a girl laying on his lap. We see her on a tanning bed, then sitting in a bathroom. Drake is singing between red cars, we see the girl riding in a car while we see flashes which i assume are paparazzis. We then see the girl in the shower and getting ready, back to the tanning bed, at a restaurant and walking down the street. We get more shots of Drake between the cars.
Part 2 comin up !
Bonus
It is not the first time Adonis appears in one of his dad’s music videos.
